Zhetargi – Animal Poetry

The 30 short compositions process samples of animal sounds or noises, sometimes in a concrete, sometimes in a highly abstract manner.
In the sound installation, the mono mixes of Jonas Maier's sound miniatures were played randomly and at a very low volume and with indirect sound radiation by four hidden loudspeakers distributed around the room at long intervals (3–4 minutes). After a group of six individually played pieces, four tracks were played simultaneously (with staggered intervals). Then six individual tracks were played again in random order, etc.
On this page you can listen to the individual tracks but also combine and mix them as you wish.
